22 Oct Bed care 101
We spend about a third of our lives in bed. From sleep to Netflix and chill, your bed should be clean and sanitary at all times. Here’s the low-down on keeping your bed clean, sanitary, and fresh.
Mattress Mission
Periodically, when you’re about to wash your sheets, you should sprinkle some baking soda on top of your mattress to remove any odours caused by everyday use. Leave the baking soda sit while the sheets are in the wash, before they’re dry you can vacuum the baking soda away.
Service those Sheets
Fact: fresh sheets mean better sleep. You should be washing your sheets weekly and you should have at least one spare set. Be sure to wash your sheets at least every two weeks.
Tip-Top Topper
Be sure to clean your comforter or duvet cover seasonally, when you’re tackling that project don’t forget to . . .
Rotate the Mattress
Another great way to keep your bed fresh (and comfortable) is to keep it rotated. With each change of season, when you clean the duvet or comforter, rotate your mattress. You’ll want the head of the mattress turned until it is the foot of the mattress.
